Leala Lynn Arzt, daughter of Schuyler "Jack" Arzt and Merladine (Rice) Arzt was born on February 27, 1945 in Elroy, Wisconsin. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the age of 72 in Phoenix, Arizona after a battle with cancer. Leala spent her early life in Wisconsin graduating from Webb High School in Reedsburg, PA with the Class of 1963. She went to work at Badger Ordinance and later at Sentry Insurance in Madison as a technical support data processor. In 1974, the company relocated to Phoenix where she continued to work...

Leala Lynn Arzt, daughter of Schuyler "Jack" Arzt and Merladine (Rice) Arzt was born on February 27, 1945 in Elroy, Wisconsin. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the age of 72 in Phoenix, Arizona after a battle with cancer. Leala spent her early life in Wisconsin graduating from Webb High School in Reedsburg, PA with the Class of 1963. She went to work at Badger Ordinance and later at Sentry Insurance in Madison as a technical support data processor. In 1974, the company relocated to Phoenix where she continued to work at Sentry and GTE until her retirement. Leala was very active in the Shadow Mountain Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling and doing research on her family genealogy.
Survivors include her two sisters: Leailla (Glenn) Schultz and Lynda Robinson; her four nephews: Carl (Erin) Schultz, Craig Schultz, T.J. (Lucky) Robinson and Tim (Nancy) Robinson; her great-nieces and nephews: Jessica, Madison and Caleb Schultz; Brandon and Joseph Robinson. She will also be missed by her good friends and neighbors: Paul (Cookie) Cassati. Leala was loved and inspired by her family and friends in Phoenix and all her family (aunts, uncles and cousins) throughout the United States. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg, PA with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Her earthly remains will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom, PA. There will be a visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
